Happy Anniversary Bunny!

I am so old that when I mentioned this TV program, my wife had no idea what I was talking about.

It was fifteen years ago today I asked my wife out for a date. It was the best thing I've ever done. I love you honey! Love American Style, that's me and you.

To close, here's a song we listened to when we were dating. It's one of two Celine Dion songs I like-this one mainly for sentimental reasons. Whatever happened to Clive Griffin anyway? Well, to not get distracted this one is for the Bunny.

Dude! Yours and Bunny's first date anniversary is the same as mine and Pete's wedding anniversary! We were married on this day in 1996. July 5th is a good day, eh?

Hi Arsenette! You haven't seen Love American Style either? I'm feeling older by the second! Thanks for the congrats.

Hi Some Kinda Wonderful! Wow, that is amazing your wedding anniversary is on the same day. Congratulations to both you and Pete. July 5th is a very good day.

Is this it? Granted the only television I was allowed to watch was cartoons.. My Dad was in a big religious kick back then and didn't allow us to see more television.. it wasn't until my parents divorced did I see more television so I missed even the classics.. heck.. I didn't see Star Wars (first 3) until I was in COLLEGE!

That's the show! I haven't seen this program in years, I think it was the early 80's when I saw it last. Thanks for the clip!

Sorry to hear about the restrictions on Star Wars :( The only good thing I can think of is you didn't have to wait three years between movies.

LOL EVERYONE told me that it's better to sit through all 6 hours of it at once with a bunch of friends rather than painfully wait 3 years per episode! I did know the whole friggin' plot.. who kissed who.. who's Dad he was.. etc. because in school you always had some moron going "OMG.. DARTH VADER IS LUKE'S FATHER!".. then you see him being pummled to death by kids who hadn't seen it..

I just remember walking into my friends house and seeing her Dad recording something from HBO. I'm staring at it and saw the scene where Jabba was talking to Han as he was defrozen (is that a word?) wait.. unfrozen.. yeah unfrozen.. Nyyyyyyyyyur.. and turned and looked at her Dad "is that blob thing.. Jabba?".. his eyes lit up "YOU'VE NEVER SEEN STAR WARS??".. I swear I tripped over the cat or walked naked into a funeral parlor or worse.. peed on someone's beloved grave because he freaked out! "You can't call yourself an American if you've never seen Star Wars!".. he clicks off the TV and tells me to pick up the tape after he's done.. sure enough I'm leaving the house and he's chasing me down.. "you have to see this.. you have to see it.. you don't have to like it.. just see it dammit!"..

Sure enough.. my passion for Star Wars was born :p

Great story Arsenette! It sounds like your friend reacted like the Rocky Horror Picture Show you mentioned in another post where first timers get yelled at by the audience. Better late than never!
